The International Requirements for the CRS® Designation 
The following requirements apply to individuals who practice outside the United States, its insular possessions and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

For details on joining the Council or earning the CRS Designation, refer to this application.

Core Education Requirements:
You must obtain Four (4) Core Education Units. Select from the following courses:

Production Requirements:
To be determined on a country-by-country basis after careful review of the country's real estate market. (Equivalent to 75 transaction sides OR the equivalent of $25 Million U.S.)

Bahamas:  25 transactions OR $8 million
Canada:  75 transaction sides within any five years OR $25 million within any five years.
South Africa:  75 transaction sides within any five years OR R60 000 000 within any five years
 
 
For Managers:
Have directly overseen a minimum of equivalent of 400 closed residential transactions* OR
Have directly overseen equivalent of $80 million U.S. in closed residential transactions* OR
Have five (5) years of real estate management experience


Elective Requirements:
A total of four units are required to complete your elective requirements. Choose from the following options listed below.

Distance Learning Courses  (1 -2 Units per course, 4 units Maximum)
Transnational Referral Certification Program (offered in English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish by ICREA)
1 Unit
Bachelors Degree OR any one of the following Designations or Certifications: ABR, ALC, CPM, CRB, CRES, CCIM, GRI, FRI or e-PRO (2 Units per item, 2 Units Maximum)
Courses/Designations/Certifications conferred by a known real estate association or company (1-2 units per course/designation, 4 units Maximum)
Years of Experience (1 Unit for every 5 years of experience, 2 units Maximum)
National Association of Home Builders Courses (1-2 Units per course, 4 Units Maximum)

 All Designation programs require membership in the Council of Residential Specialists. There is no time limit in fulfilling the education requirements. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE REQUIREMENTS STATED ABOVE.
