2008 REALTORS Conference & Expo

November 5 -8, 2008 (Trade Expo - 11/7 - 10)
Renaissance Orlando at Seaworld
Orlando, FL

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHERE SHOULD I STAY?   The Council will be headquartered at the Renaissance Orlando Resort at Sea World.  Our location is about 10 minutes from the convention center and NAR’s headquarter hotel.  Tell the cabby to take the back route.  Hotel information is as follows:

Renaissance Orlando Resort at Sea World
                6677 Sea Harbor Drive
                Orlando, FL  32821
                Phone:  407.351.5555

CAN I BE REACHED AT THE ABOVE NUMBER?  Only if you have a reservation at the Renaissance.  If not, the quickest way for someone to reach you is via your personal cell phone.

WHERE SHOULD I SLEEP?  Make your life easy – stay at the Renaissance.  You won’t have to jump in a taxi to get to the meetings on time and if you are spending a small amount of time at the Expo, you can just hop in a taxi or take the shuttle.  If you have not made your reservations, don’t wait any longer – you may need to sleep in the many parking lots…   Complete a registration form at www.realtors.org or call Experiant at 800/974-3084.

HOW DO I GET TO THE HOTEL?  If you are flying, you will arrive in Orlando at the Orlando International Airport.  The airport is approximately 20 minutes from our hotel.   The following modes of transportation are available from the Airport:

Airport Shuttle:  Shuttle service is available from the Orlando International Airport.  Please call 407/423-5566 to arrange.  OR once you have received your luggage, the shuttles can be found by the rental car area for $17 one way or $28 round trip/ per adult

Taxis:  A taxi ride will cost approximately $35.00- $40.00 one way from the Orlando International Airport to the Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld.

Limo:  Limousines are available for hire.  Please call the bell stand at the hotel for arrangements.

SHOULD I CHECK MY HOTEL CONFIRAMTION?  Yes! Don’t wait to make sure that everything is correct on the confirmations.  It is so easy to key in the wrong arrival or spell a name incorrectly.  Please verify the following details to assure a trouble free check-in:

1.  Is your name spelled correctly?
2.  Are your arrival and departure dates correct?
3.  Is your city and state correct?  Is it spelled correctly?
4.  Are your accommodations as requested?

If any of the above items are incorrect, you must advise Experient immediately.  They can be reached by phone at 800/974-3084; by fax at 800/521-6017; or by e-mail at NAR@itvlsvc.com.

Why doesn’t the hotel have my reservation?  Experient will create a rooming list from your registration form, which will be sent to the Renaissance Orlando Resort approximately 30 days prior to the event.  Upon receipt of the rooming list from Experient the Renaissance or your hotel choice will send you a reservation confirmation.  Again, be sure to check that everything on your hotel confirmation is as you requested.  Do this immediately upon receipt.

WHERE CAN I PICKUP MY BADGE? Your badge will be mailed to you at the address you provided on your registration form.  The badges will start mailing on October 20th.  If you do not receive a badge in the mail, please go directly to the convention center as this will be the only place to have a badge created for you.

If you received your badge in the mail, you can pick up a badge holder and meeting materials at the CRS Information Desk in the Yellowtail Foyer.

DO I NEED A BADGE?  You will need a badge to participate in any of the events scheduled at the convention center.  All conference attendees need a badge for admittance in the sessions and the expo.  If you prefer to only attend the expo, you can purchase a badge at the convention center.  If you are not attending any of the session or the expo you do NOT need a badge.

      1)  Do not walk anywhere by yourself.  Go out in groups whenever possible.
      2)  Stay on the main streets.  Avoid dark side streets wherever possible.
      3)  Do not wear your convention badges on the street.
